What does the Diploma not authorise?
National study rules, ASIC expectations and association policy are different checks.
Does the award grant credit authority?
No. Confirm the appropriate Australian credit licence or representative arrangement and the activities permitted in your role. Responsible-manager experience is separate from national course entry.
What about membership and mentoring?
MFAA education, renewal and mentoring policies apply to its membership arrangements. Completing the Diploma does not automatically finish mentoring, establish a membership category or secure aggregator acceptance.
Who confirms each next step?
The RTO confirms training, assessment and study credit. ASIC guidance and the relevant licence or representative arrangement govern the credit activities permitted in your role. The relevant association confirms membership and its own education or mentoring policy. Ask the chosen aggregator and lender about their separate onboarding and accreditation criteria. One approval does not establish all the others.
What should you ask before relying on a promise?
Ask who sets the requirement, which role or membership category it applies to, and what written evidence confirms your position. MFAA mentoring guidance is not a universal national course-entry rule. This research does not establish one mentoring period, aggregator contract, lender panel or acceptance rule for every broker.
If an advertisement promises accreditation or access after graduation, request the name of the decision-maker and the remaining conditions. Keep study fees separate from commercial arrangements and do not assume the Diploma replaces experience required for a responsible-manager role.
