What is the next step from your existing evidence?
Separate credit, experience, membership and authority decisions.
Are you progressing from Certificate IV?
Compare completed unit codes before requesting credit. Do not assume every Certificate IV graduate has the same Diploma workload or that an upgrade offer accepts your particular transcript.

Who decides what is recognised?
The RTO decides credit and recognition for study. A membership body applies its own policy. Credit-authority and responsible-manager requirements need separate checks.
What does the Diploma add to Certificate IV?
FNS40821 has seven core units and five electives. FNS50322 has ten core units and five electives, including FNSFMB512, FNSFMB513 and FNSFMB514 for complex-credit options, presentation and implementation, plus FNSINC514 for ethical decisions and FNSRSK511 for organisational risk identification. Compare the full unit lists; the difference in total unit counts is not your personal upgrade workload.
Bring your exact transcript to the RTO and ask which units are accepted, which need further assessment, and which remain. Elective choices and individual evidence affect the result. A Diploma may support your learning goal without guaranteeing a job, association category or lender access.
